The fantastic Ensemble LUX:NM will play Pidg In Note Out, a piece comissioned by and premiered at the Heroines of Sound Festival 2019. In the same program, pieces by Eres Holz, Gitbi Kwon, Kotoka Suzuki and Antonis Anissegos.
The whole piece is based on the performer´s voices in their mother tongues, so for this version, I ´ve reworked the electronic part with the voice of pianist Neus Estarellas speaking Catalan. Florian Juncker on the trombone and Zoé Cartier on violoncello were already in the first formation which played the piece at Radialsystem 2019. A big thanks goes to accordeonist Silke Lange and saxophon player Ruth Velten, heads of the Ensemble.
